With the logistical support of European partners, Badil's Communications Officer went on a three month speaking tour in several European countries. The tour involved participation in over 45 meetings and public events in 31 locations in 8 countries (see below). The total number of participants in the meetings and public events was well over 2,000 people.
11 June 2010 - BADIL is proud to report a productive annual meeting of its 40 member General Assembly which convened from 10 to 11 June at BADIL's office in Bethlehem.The General Assembly adopted the organizational 2009 financial audit report presented by the the external auditor, as well as the administrative report summarizing activities implemented and results achieved in the year 2009. It also took note of the assessment of BADIL operations and recommendations issued by its elected Oversight Committee.
BADIL proudly announces the winners of the 2010 Al-Awda Award, the fourth annual public competition of its kind. The award aims to foster Palestinian talent and creativity and to raise the profile of the Palestinian Nakba and the right of all forcibly displaced Palestinians to return to their homes and lands As with previous years, the Awda Award Festival launches the Nakba commemoration activities in Palestine that will continue over the coming months.
