UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
The UNHCR is the primary international
body mandated to protect and seek permanent solutions for refugees
worldwide. UNHCR is the lead agency to facilitate permanent
solutions for refugees and displaced persons in
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE)
The OSCE is the largest regional
security organization in the world with 55 participating States
from Europe, Central Asia and North America. OSCE programs in
Bosnia-Herzegovina focus on human rights, education,
democratization, security cooperation, and public administration
reform.
Office of the High
Representative (OHR)
The position of OHR was created under
the Dayton Peace Agreement to oversee implementation of the
civilian aspects of the peace agreement.
Commission for Real Property Claims (CRPC)
The CRPC was responsible for confirming real property rights for
displaced persons and refugees. It was established in March 1996
under Annex 7 of the 1995 Dayton Peace Agreement.
