1) BADIL Information and Discussion Brief No. 7:

"UNHCR, PALESTINIAN REFUGEES and DURABLE SOLUTIONS" (August 2002).

This Brief provides an overview of the UNHCR vis--vis Palestinian refugees. It examines the unique and complex relationship between UNHCR and Palestinian refugees as set forth in the 1950 Statute of the UNHCR and the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and raises questions about a UNHCR role concerning international protection and the search for and implementation of durable solutions for Palestinian refugees based on a review of UNHCR's mandate, operational experience, and political environment.

2) BOUND EDITION, Al-Majdal 1999 - 2001:

The bound edition (hard cover) includes issues no. 1 - 12 of BADIL's quarterly English language magazine al-Majdal, introduction and index. It covers the period of the gradual build-up towards Palestinian-Israeli final status negotiations, their eventual failure in the summer of 2000, and the early months of the second Palestinian uprising (al-Aqsa Intifada).

The report includes a brief presentation of the Palestine Right-of-Return Coalition; working papers (The Right to Property: The Bosnian Example; Palestinian Refugees' Right of Return and the European NGO/Solidarity Movement: A Palestinian Perspective), the concluding statement as well as a list of contacts to participating organizations. Workshop proceedings are summarized in Arabic.
