Kenyon Institute invites you to an event marking the
60th Anniversary of UNRWA
Johan Eriksson will be showing and discussing the newly extended version of his award winning film
Hoda’s Story (58mins)
“A high velocity bullet flew in through a classroom window in a primary school in the Gaza Strip. It hit 12-year old Hoda Darwish in the head.”
Starting the day after her accident, the film follows Hoda for two years while she comes to terms with the altered life the bullet gave her, amidst the incursions and violence of the Gaza Strip.
The original film ends in February 2005. This new part revisits Hoda in 2008 and 2009. Hoda was twelve years old when she was hit by the bullet. She is now eighteen and facing the consequences of the accident with a new maturity she was incapable of a few years ago.
