The BADIL 2008 al-Awda Award
Annual al-Awda Awards are an initiative of BADIL aimed at encouraging intellectual and cultural production about the Nakba and the right of return in Arabic. The initiative includes a public competition (November 07 – March 08) for best posters, documentary films, children's stories, research papers and journalistic report, and the public al-Awda Award Festival in May with the three Award-winners in each category.
Award-winning contributions are published and disseminated by BADIL.
The 2008 al-Awda Award presents an opportunity for the Nakba-60 Campaign to:

Encourage Palestinian and other Arab artists, writers and journalists to participate in the competition and increase public outreach of their production;

Make use of award-winning production for the global campaign.
