Under the Auspices of Mr. Faisal al-Husseini and  In Cooperation with the Palestinian Prisoners' Society-Jerusalem  Al-Rowwad Theater-Aida Refugee Camp is honored to invite you to join us at the premiere of our new performance:  "WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE CAMP"  (Ihna Awlad al-Mokhayyam)  At the Palestinian National Theater-Jerusalem;  Saturday, September 30, 2000; 6:00 p.m. (Palestinian time)

* About Al-Rowwad (Pioneers) Theater:
Al-Rowwad was established to stimulate refugee childrens' creativity and artistic expression. It aims to help the children of the camp to get in contact with the world beyond the camp, the city, and the country; to build contacts with other children in Arab and western countries and to share with them the experience of being a child, and being somehow different.
Al-Rowwad Theater rehearses at the Youth Activity Center/Aida Camp-Bethlehem, which provides its hall and office space for Al-Rowwad's administrative board.

* About the Play:
"We Are the Children of the Camp" tells about Palestinian refugees, the Nakba of 1948, and the lives of children in the camps. It is a simple contribution to remind those who have forgotten of the legitimate rights of Palestinian refugees. The play was written and directed by Dr. Abdelfattah Abu Srour, the music is provided by Mahmoud Abu Kamal and Ra'fat Hani.
