On 21 February, BADIL carried out the second training of its empowerment program for women from areas subject to continuous displacement.

The first part of the training addressed the mechanisms of forcible displacement that Palestinians are subject to since the British Mandate until this day. Key Israeli policies were presented with special focus on displacement in area C and East Jerusalem. The second part focused on acquiring skills in media, which included methods of writing press releases and journalistic reports. 

The upcoming sessions will include training in still photography, video, as well as interviewing skills, all aiming to enhance the participants’ documentation skills. It is envisioned that improvement of these skills would enable women in targeted areas to mobilize their communities and advocate their rights in course of confronting Israeli crimes.
