Q and A: What you need to know about Palestinian Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons

PR/EN/190515/15

As part of ongoing efforts to promote the rights of displaced Palestinians, BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights is pleased to launch a new and updated Q&A: What you need to know about Palestinian Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, which answers frequently asked questions on the subject of Palestinian refugees and internally displaced persons. The document is a concise introduction to the issue of the displacement of the Palestinian people and aims to plug glaring gaps in public knowledge on this topic. The link to the document can be found here:

Palestinian refugees and internally displaced persons, constituting the largest and longest-standing refugee community in the world, continue to be neglected by nearly all parties mandated to search for just and durable solutions to their displacement. The Q&A seeks to address the lack of wider understanding of the nature of Palestinian displacement that has led to this situation. The document not only provides information and context, but it also talks about the role of the international community and civil society in implementing durable solutions for displaced Palestinians.
