Nakba Memorial TV Campaign (BADIL and MA'AN TV Network)
Eight West-Bank based Palestinian TV stations, members of the MA'AN network, will join in a public awareness-raising campaign including daily broadcasts of information and documentaries about the Palestinian Nakba, its circumstances and consequences, and the quest for the right of return.

Public debate (BADIL)
BADIL Resource Center invites the public to join presentation and discussion about “Housing and Property Restitution of Palestinian Refugees – An Expert Perspective”. The guest speaker will be Scott Leckie, executive director of the Center on Housing Rights and Eviction (COHRE), Geneva. Discussion and debate will be held in English at BADIL, Karkafa St. (next to Hotel Bethlehem).

Annual Return March to Hawsha(ADRID)
The Association for the Defense of the Rights of the Internally Displaced (ADRID) will hold its annual march and rally to commemorate the Palestinian Nakba and raise the demand for the right of return of internally displaced Palestinians and refugees. The event, coinciding with Israel's independence day, is co-organized with the people of the 1948 depopulated Palestinian villages of Hawsha and al-Kasayer (District of Haifa) and will take place at the site of the Hawsha village. The High Follow-up Committee of the Palestinian Community, representatives of national institutions, political parties and movements, civil society organizations of women and students, as well as progressive Jewish organizations, will join the event.

15 May (Nakba Day), 14:00 – 18:00
Film-Screening and Conference (Al-Awda UK and SOAS Palestine Society)
Two films will be screened (“The Ancestors' Land,” a story of a Palestinian family visiting their village, Lubya, after 46 years of exile, Danish Broadcasting Corporation; “1948”, a film by Muhammad Bakri) followed by a conference with academic and activists speakers.

On 15 May, Palestinians commemorate their forced displacement and dispossession resulting from the establishment of the state of Israel and demand the halt of ongoing evicition and implementation of their right to return to their homes and properties in accordance with international law and UN Resolution 194. Numerous additional events will be organized by Palestinian community organziations in Palestine and in the exile. BADIL will continue updates about these events.
