Course in International Mobilization for the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People
- A Human Rights Based Approach -

BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugees Rights will hold its inaugural Course in International Mobilization for the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People from Wednesday, July 31 to Friday, August 9, 2019 in Bethlehem, Palestine.

BADIL is an independent, human rights non-profit organization committed to protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees and internally displaced persons. Our vision, mission, programs and relationships are defined by our Palestinian identity and the principles of international humanitarian and human rights law. This course will provide an introductory overview of the Palestinian case, including the history of the struggle and the present day challenges. It will set this discussion within a rights-based framework for advocacy on and realization of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. The topics covered will include: the ongoing displacement of Palestinian people, Palestinian political prisoners, Palestine in international policies, Palestinian identity and policies of fragmentation, in addition to field visits and working group discussions aimed at building practical understandings and strategies of mobilization for the Palestinian cause.

BADIL will cover the costs of accommodation, meals, and travel within Palestine. However, a fee of $200 is required upon registration (following acceptance into the course) and participants will be responsible for the cost of their international travel and any insurance.

Accepted participants will be contacted on or before Monday, June 3, 2019. Upon acceptance, participants will be required to pay the registration fee in order to secure their place.
