BADIL and the GPRN announce the launching of
“Resisting the Ongoing Nakba” Photograph Contest

announce launching and organizing
“Resisting the Ongoing Nakba” Photograph Contest
The best 25 photographs will be displayed in various international exhibitions, including the United Nations headquarters in New York and Geneva.
Theme:
Submissions made to the contest must reflect one or more of the aspects and forms of the Ongoing Nakba in terms of violations and policies practiced by the Israeli colonial-apartheid regime.
Criteria and technical specifications regarding the submission:
- Each participant must comply with all the detailed conditions below.
- Participation is open to Palestinians and others of all ages, from all over the world.
- Each participant can only submit ONE photograph.
- The photograph may be submitted in color or black and white.
- If the photograph has been altered using editing programs, the ORIGINAL must be submitted with the doctored photograph.
- The photograph must not contain added texts, including the name of the participant.
- The photograph must have a decent degree of clarity and high resolution, and to be sent as a file of type (jpg) and quality (300 dpi).
- The work must be original and innovative and have not been previously published in any way.
- With the photograph submission, the participant will also be required to send a Word document with their name, contact information (email and phone number), and brief description of the photograph, including the place, time and event at which it was taken, and the context of the submission using 60-100 words.
- In the case of any breach of the ownership rights of the nominated and winning submissions, the legal responsibility lies with the participant – the person who submitted the photograph for the contest.
- Without detracting from the intellectual, literary and artistic rights of the participant, BADIL Center may use, distribute and publish the photographs in a manner it considers appropriate.
- Late submissions will not be accepted or considered.
Deadline for submitting: Saturday, 8 April 2023, Midnight UTC +2 (Palestine time zone)
