New Partnership: BADIL and Oakland Institute

PR/EN/190217/14

BADIL has partnered with Oakland Institute, a USA-based policy think tank specializing in global land grab situations, located in California. BADIL has provided the institute with a number of its publications on the issue of forcible transfer of the Palestinian people: including the Forced Population Transfer working paper series and the recently published case study on the Old City of Hebron. Representatives of the institute completed a 10-day mission to Palestine on 19 February 2017. BADIL, through its partner network, arranged for and facilitated visits to the Old City of Hebron, Aida Refugee Camp and the Naqab on 13 and 14 February.

The institute intends on publishing a report on Palestine in the early summer of 2017. Upon release of the report, advocacy and awareness raising initiatives will ensue in the USA with the potential for a joint speaking tour between the organizations.

BADIL would like to thank its partners for their cooperation and availability during this and many other engagements to promote and defend the rights of the Palestinian people with the international community.
